Mission:
SM2B.org is a movement to empower single women in
unsupported pregnancies, helping them to embrace their destinies as
parents and contributing members of society with confidence,
competence, and courage.
Vision:
SM2B.org incites positive change in our society as a
whole through education, empowerment, acceptance, and unconditional
love for single mothers-to-be and their children.
What is an “unsupported” pregnancy?
An "unsupported" pregnancy is any planned or unplanned pregnancy in which the child's natural
father is absent as a result of rejection of the mother and/or child, or in which the child's mother
has abandoned the relationship with the child's father.
What makes SM2B.org different from other pregnancy
“help” sites?
- We welcome, accept, and expect visitors of all reproductive
rights views. At SM2B.org, we understand that you have
your own personal reasons for continuing with your pregnancy, and
we honor your life experience and the unique circumstances that
have contributed to your political and spiritual beliefs.
- We are not affiliated with, nor do we refer to adoption
agencies. SM2B.org is a site for single pregnant women
of any age, race, religion, or political affiliation who wish to
continue unsupported pregnancies in order to be parents.
- We do not engage in what is known as “options counseling” (the
perceived “rights” and “wrongs” of abortion, adoption, or single
parenting). At SM2B.org we are committed to honoring
your free will regarding your life choices, and aim to provide
unconditional support in the event that you choose to continue
your pregnancy to be a mother.
- We honor your potential as a human being, and believe that you
are every bit as capable of being an excellent parent as any
pregnant woman who is married or otherwise partnered. At SM2B.org, you will find no anti-single-parent
condemnation, condescension, or judgment.
- We believe that the comprehensive well-being of an unborn child is contingent upon that of
its natural mother. At SM2B.org, we understand that a healthy, happy, and empowered
parent is a necessary component in the life of a child. Your happiness is our first priority, and
we are confident that this happiness will result in your being a loving, committed, and effective
parent.
